Going on a Trip

Rainy weekends are no fun. We have quite a few recently unfortunately. You have to think of things to keep little people entertained. Jack decided he, Daddy and Ben needed to go on a "trip". I am not sure exactly where they were headed, but it was very entertaining from my viewpoint! All I do know is that everyone needed a bag, except Ben because he was too little, and everyone needed a hat. Thank goodness we had some nice plastic hats from Firehouse Subs and from St. Patty's day! Jon may kill me for these pics, but it is the price you pay for having kids!

All ready to go on our trip. I think we were looking for "ephelants"

First Annual Bridges Easter Egg Hunt

We had the First Annual Bridges' Easter Egg Hunt before Easter. It was a great time to spend with family and friends and we cannot wait to do it again next year. The weather turned out to be absolutely perfect! God was truly smiling down on us that day, especially since we had a terrible storm the night before! I had the idea for the Easter Egg Hunt after the kids had such fun at Ben's birthday party. I also remember Aunt Millie wanting to have an "Egg Roll", this was kind of done as something that she would have enjoyed, if only she could have been there! She would have thought Jack and Ben were the best egg hunters, ever!

The whole crew. If you can coordinate six children for a picture, please come next year. I cannot get my two to cooperate...EVER

A lady must always protect her eyes from the sun, this is how you get crows feet!

Elizabeth was a very serious egg hunter.

Jack finally realized that if he did not hurry, the girls would get all of the eggs.

Thomas knew exactly what he was supposed to do!

Just swinging and sliding, so much fun!

You better get that basket over here, I am about to hurl this egg.

My sweet boys!

Beach Weekend

After Aunt Millie's death Mom (Gran) really needed a little getaway weekend. We decided to take a little visit to Folly Beach to "recharge". The Hutto's were kind enought to let us stay at "Our House" for the weekend. The only bad thing, the time there was too short! We had some excellent food, and Jon and I even got to go eat lunch with Robbie and Suzann, without children! The food was excellent at Taco Boy, and the margarita's even better!

Getting very serious about feeding the birds. It has to be "just right".

Hey Bird, come here.

Just checking things out.

What joy a stick can bring.

My Interesting Little Eater

So my children are big eaters as everyone knows. When I say big eaters, I mean BIG eaters. They already eat as much as adults. They are not fat kids, they just have extremely high metabolism (thank Daddy for that!). Anyway, Ben is learning how to use a spoon at school. What I mean by learning how to use a spoon is that he holds the spoon in his right hand and bangs the table, while picking up and eating (throwing) food with his left hand. Watching Ben eat is always a very entertaining experience.
One day, we had take out (not uncommon) and they got chocolate chip cookies with their meals. We were sitting at the table, eating and all of a sudden we looked over at Ben and he had a chocolate chip sitting on his head. The really funny part was that it stayed there for the rest of his meal. Funny, funny. Gigi was here and REALLY thought it was funny.

One weekend I actually had some time, so I made a pot of spaghetti for us to have for the week. I gave Ben a plat of spaghetti (against better judgment) because I figured if he ate spaghetti at school, surely he could do it at home without making too much of a mess. Yes, I was wrong. The kid ended up with spaghetti everywhere! He at his entire plate though!

Mom, what is this stuff all over me? (Please note the finger prints on his forehead)
